What are your office hours?

Monday – Thursday from 7:30am to 5:00 pm; Friday 7:30 am to 3:00 pm; by appointment only; and phones are answered until 4:00pm. We are closed for most major holidays. Same day sick appointments are often available.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

As a courtesy to other patients, we request you arrive on time, preferably 10 minutes before your scheduled time.   If you haven’t completed your paperwork, please arrive 20 minutes before your appointment.  If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule.

What should I bring to my appointment?

  • Current Insurance Card/ID

  • Current list of your medications, including dosage and directions.

  • Payment. We accept cash, personal in-state checks, VISA and MasterCard. There is a service charge for returned checks.  Payment is expected at the time of service.

What is your cancellation policy?

The office should be contacted at least one business day prior to your appointment.  The cancellation fee is $50 for cancellations less than one business day.  Please be considerate and realize another patient may miss the opportunity to see the doctor at that time.

What if I need help after hours?

If you have a true medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest ER. After hours, a physician is on call and available to handle urgent patient problems.

How do I get my medication refilled?

Refills for medications should be called directly to your pharmacy. Your pharmacy will contact us for refill authorization.  All prescription requests are handled during regular office hours and filled within 48 hours.  If you have any issues with this, please contact us.

How do I request my medical records?

In accordance with Texas law, you will have to provide a written request for the release of medical records. If you are in need of a copy of your medical records or if you wish to have a copy sent to another physician, we will be happy to prepare them and/or forward the request to our copy service. Please allow 15 business days for records requests to be processed. A fee may be assessed by the copy service for personal copies with payment required before records will be released.

I'm glad that I was referred to Dr. Giep by one of my friends when I moved back to the DFW area. Dr. Giep emphasizes on the basics to his patients - exercise, diet, and taking care of oneself over medicines. This message coming from a doctor is refreshing.  I've been a patient of Dr. Giep since 2010 and found him to treat his patients like a family and yet with great professionalism. He commands respect from his patients and employees and has established himself as a top doctor in the community.  Before we moved to Plano, my wife and I used to commute about 45 minutes because we trusted Dr. Giep. I hope there are many more doctors like him to make this world a healthier place. To put it simply - we trust Dr. Giep with my most prized asset - my family's health.
